January 12 is our first business meeting of the new year, and we will meet from 5:00-8:00 pm at Salem Church Library. We are pleased to host Erin Grogan from the Warrenton chapter of MQG speaking on Wearable Art.
This meeting will kick off our first challenge for the year – FOUND OBJECTS – which will be due in March. Bring something to the meeting, whether it’s fabric or an object, that you will use in the challenge. Inspiration for this challenge comes from a book by Jane Davila. This meeting is the last chance to buy raffle tickets for the QuiltCon quilt. We will draw the winning ticket during the meeting.
In-Person Sew-In: We will hold an in-person sew-in on Saturday, January 28, at Salem Church Library from 10 am-5 pm. Please bring your sewing machine, basic sewing supplies, and any orphan blocks you want to contribute toward making one or more quilts to donate to Project Linus.
